Combined dual-technology (smoke-heat) detectors base their operation on the principle of light diffusion caused by smoke particles in the air (TYNDALL effect) and on the control of the temperature inside the area in which they are installed.
A microcontroller analyses and compares the signal it receives from a precision NTC temperature sensor, activating the alarm if the temperature exceeds 58°C.
The detector has the function of automatic gain control; a microcontroller calculates the compensation of the reading to maintain a constant sensitivity over time.
