The FAAST FLEX aspirating smoke detector draws air through a network of tubes with sampling holes. Each tube inlet is equipped with a sensor that monitors changes in air flow in the tube, which can signal blockage of the holes, loss of tube tightness, alarm and pre-alarm. The air is filtered and conveyed into the detection chamber for analysis of any smoke particles.
FAAST FLEX can be configured and started using a dip switch without the need for special tools. The device is installed in a short time via a guided installation procedure.
