CDR 973 defines a range of latest infrared security systems
generation, specific for the «protection» of driveways and pedestrian passages equipped with
automatic opening and closing systems: it is a real safety system that
meets the requirements of the EN 12978 standard. The equipment uses a
renewed optical transmission system (meeting the specifications indicated by the type
2 of CEI IEC 61496-2) which respects an infrared emission angle +/- 5°.
The management of both the transmitting and receiving parts was carried out via
microcontroller, obtaining the advantage of greater precision in generation
of pulses transmitted via infrared which, modulated according to a digital protocol which
allows the transfer of information from the transmitter to the receiver, eliminating the risk
of blinding caused by other infrared systems working on the same frequency
and places nearby. A top class equipment that is available on three
different containers to satisfy all installation needs.

Possibility of connecting up to 3 devices in cascade, multiplexing the transmission, without
have interference; the selection is made via a three-way dip-switch located on both
TX and RX by connecting the three transmitters to each other using a two-wire cable
(synchronism); no additional connections are required on the receivers.
Double relays on receiver, driven with digital control to increase safety
(rest/alarm state control).
Jumper to select the output contact mode (pure contact, NC or with resistance
8.2kO).
Possibility to select the release delay via dip-switch (0.2 sec or 3 sec).
High intensity LED (on the receiver) to facilitate the centering of the optics to a certain
distance.
2 signaling LEDs on the receiver:
- green - on indicates photocell at rest;
- red - steady on indicates photocell in alarm, flashing indicates faulty photocell.
Pre-amplified receiver optics.
