These compact control units have been developed in accordance with the European standard EN 12101 parts 9 and 10. Openings for smoke evacuation in the upper part of the building and a sufficient number of fresh air intakes in the lower areas combined with the use of these power plants allow smoke, gas and heat to be evacuated naturally, allowing people still present in the building to leave it through a low-smoke area. In the meantime, the fire brigade will put out the fire and rescue personnel can evacuate people safely. The heart of our system is the compact FV 3, and/or FV 6 control panel (3 Ampere and 6 Ampere output); consisting of a primary and a secondary energy supply, as well as all control technology for the operation of the actuators at 24 VDC. The control unit activates the actuators for daily ventilation and in the event of fire. The special ventilation functions (limited ventilation, deadman function, automatic ventilation) are free and individually programmable by the user. The emergency power supply (lead/acid batteries) in the event of a fault in the power supply preserves the function of the smoke and heat extraction system for at least 72 hours.

Smoke vents at the top of the building and a sufficient number of fresh air intakes in the lower areas allow smoke and heat to escape, thus allowing people to evacuate the building and fire personnel to extinguish the flames.
The smoke and heat extraction system belongs to the area of fire control in buildings and its presence is required by law in many European countries. The authorities issue a permit that determines how these conditions are implemented. Before installing the smoke and heat extraction system, it is necessary to demonstrate that the system meets the official requirements required.
