The protection device is a PBX accessory that intervenes in the presence of a dangerous current due to overvoltage and induced disturbances from the telephone line. The 1382/81 device can manage two telephone lines or two analog extension outputs.
To achieve maximum effectiveness, protection must be installed on the telephone line near the PABX. More generally, it must be placed before all urban lines and internal extensions, which involve a passage outside the building or are connected to electrical devices, such as faxes, modems, answering machines, cordless phones, etc.
