The Multiscan control unit has been designed to allow maximum flexibility and expandability of the systems.
It allows the connection of flammable, toxic or oxygen gas detectors. It can manage up to 256 detectors with 4-20 mA proportional output. The connection of the detectors and remote input/output modules (modules 1043/831 and 1043/832) is via 4 open RS485 buses or 2 closed ones.
The control unit is configured via the keyboard and the liquid crystal display on the front panel or via management software. An RS232 serial line on the back of the control unit allows connection to a PC. The control unit is SIL1 and ATEX certified.
