The maximum range of the LIRA photocell, tested in an open field, is 200 metres.
The wide range guarantees its operation in case of fog or heavy rain and the collimator with which the receiver is equipped limits the disturbances caused by sunlight to a minimum.
Alignment is easy, also indicated by the color change of the LED which has the dual function of signaling correct communication between transmitter and receiver and therefore the successful alignment and any anomalies or communication interruptions.
It can be powered by 12 or 24 Volt AC/DC
