The MTV500E flush-mounted wired module is a timed wired electronic dimmer, which allows the management of brightness variations from 3% to 100% on loads up to 500W.
The device uses the principle of variation through interruption at the beginning or end of the phase by automatically recognizing the type of load: it is compatible with various loads, including incandescent lamps, 230V LEDs and dimmable halogens.
It supports dual memory level: storage of the last brightness level, which can be recalled by the first press, and 100% illumination, which can be recalled by 2 short presses on the button.
The module can be timed, from 2 seconds to 4 hours, with a switch-off warning. It also includes a courtesy night light function for children, which allows you to obtain a 20% intensity light that will decrease in one hour until only a courtesy light is left (for 12 hours). It also allows you to activate the light signals in corridors or other rooms for night-time movements. It is possible to centralize the control of multiple MTV500E dimmer modules via pilot wire, using the CVI50 accessory (code 5454805).
Thanks to the "soft start / soft stop" function, it limits the inrush current during the switch-on phase of the light load, thus increasing the life of the lamp and buttons.
The module has 2 types of integrated electronic protections: in case of short circuit on the load (with automatic recovery after the fault has been eliminated) and against overheating. It is also immune to mains disturbances up to 1.5 kV and 100% waterproof and can therefore also be installed outdoors.
