With FAAC-coded TAGs in the 13.56 MHz Mifare version, the level of security against cloning is increased because the TAG’s “public” UID is not used. Instead, a code derived from a proprietary algorithm is stored in its internal memory, which can only be accessed using a private key defined in the KEYDOM system. This solution meets the needs of customers requiring a high level of security, ensuring that each credential is unique. FAAC-coded TAGs, both 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz Mifare, also make it easier to add credentials to the KEYDOM database by simply entering the number printed on the TAG, eliminating the need to read it directly.
