CDRX12 is a state-of-the-art infrared beam safety system, particularly suitable for protecting driveways and pedestrian passages equipped with automatic opening and closing systems. The circuitry has been designed in accordance with the latest standards set out in current regulations, making the equipment compliant with Category 3 of UNI EN ISO 13849-1 (updated version of EN954-1). The need to ensure greater immunity to interference in an environment increasingly affected by disruptive elements has led to improvements in both the transmitting and receiving sections, based on the principle of "resistance to a single fault", ensuring that safety is maintained even in the event of electrical problems. The receiver must be installed near the electronic control unit and wired to receive its 12/24V power supply directly from the control unit, while the transmitter can be installed on any surface without wiring. Power is supplied by a solar panel when light is available and by the 3V lithium battery when there is no light. Battery life can be optimised using the energy-saving function by selecting the response time and installation distance.
Technical description
Infrared transmission using digital modulation of the carrier signal.
Reception with demodulation and protocol decoding to identify the transmitting device.
Optics mounted on self-friction joints, adjustable horizontally through 90° and vertically through +/-30° relative to the standard position.
Dual relays on the receiver, controlled digitally to enhance the safety of the output section (which provides the standby/alarm status).
Selectable output with volt-free contact, N.C. or 8,2 KO.
Distinctive status LEDs on the receiver: "correct operation" status indicated by a brief intermittent activation (every minute); "alarm" status indicated by a permanently lit LED.
Pre-amplified receiver optics.
Reinforced power supply to tolerate voltages up to 40 Vdc or 28 Vac.
Range: 12 m for indoor installations; 10 m for outdoor installations in all conditions, including dense fog, rain or dust.
