VXI-RAM is a wireless presence detector with anti-masking technology. The VXI series is particularly reliable at detecting approaching people, with a range of up to 12 metres for residential and commercial applications. The sensor must be mounted at a height of approximately 1.2 metres and features two PIRs, creating a two-layer detection area. The sensor is activated only when both layers are triggered. VXI sensors are immune to animals and feature digital analysis to rule out causes of false alarms.

VXI sensors feature a digital microprocessor that analyses incoming infrared emissions and distinguishes those generated by people from those generated by sunlight, animals, swaying vegetation or weather conditions. In addition, combining infrared and microwave technology significantly improves stability, since both complementary technologies must be activated to confirm an alarm. The risk of false alarms is therefore extremely low.

Wireless convenience
The VXI-RAM sensor can be powered by a wide range of universal batteries, including CR123, CR2 and 1/2 AA. Its housing accommodates most wireless radio transmitters available on the market. This makes it easy to add a VXI sensor to sheds, garages or other outdoor buildings and connect it to an existing wireless intrusion detection system.
