The Modix control unit combines the KL Series with a battery pack to power 24 V motors autonomously, even when mains power is unavailable. When power is not required, a charging device keeps the batteries fully charged and ready for use. All control and command functions are the same as those of the KL Series control units, whose circuit board is integrated into the MODIX. Therefore, all the same devices that can be connected to the KL units (sensors, controls, 24 V motors) can also be connected. Where more than 1.2 Ah of capacity is required, the battery pack capacity must be increased. The Modix control unit is housed in an impact-resistant plastic enclosure (grey) with an IP43 protection rating. The enclosure contains the batteries, the standby charger, the interface board, and the electronic board of the required KL Series control unit. The "R" version, equipped with a radio receiver, allows the drives to be controlled remotely using the 30-channel PIK remote control. CE-marked equipment compliant with the relevant EU directives.
