With FAAC coded TAGs in the Mifare 13.56 MHz version, the level of security against cloning is increased because the TAG's "public" UID is not used. Instead, a code derived from a proprietary algorithm is stored in its internal memory, which can only be accessed using a private key defined in the KEYDOM system. This solution meets the needs of customers requiring a high level of security, ensuring that each credential is unique. FAAC coded TAGs, both 125 kHz and Mifare 13.56 MHz, also make it easier to add them to the KEYDOM database by simply entering the number printed on the TAG, eliminating the need to read it directly.
