With this kit, you can always know what is happening at home, receiving instant notifications if suspicious movement is detected, doors or windows are opened, or an elderly person or child requests help using the smart button.

A3 home gateway: the heart of the system
The A3 gateway acts as the central connectivity and communication hub between all the kit’s sensors and the EZVIZ app. It receives signals from the sensors and turns them into notifications and alarms for the user.

• Acts as the management hub for all connected sensors
• Supports sensor connections via the ZigBee 3.0 protocol
• Can connect to the Internet via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi
• Offers 20 different alarm tones to choose from

The gateway is not battery-powered and must be plugged into a power outlet to ensure stable, continuous operation.
System expandability
The A3 gateway can manage up to 32 battery-powered devices, allowing you to expand the system with additional sensors to cover more rooms, entrances or vulnerable points in the home. Currently, the three sensor models included in the kit are supported. We recommend checking the compatibility of any additional sensors before purchase.
PIR motion sensor: indoor monitoring
The PIR (passive infrared) sensor is designed to detect human movement indoors. It is ideal for hallways, living rooms, entrances or any area where you want to know if someone enters or moves around.
Main features of the PIR sensor:
• Detects human movement in the room
• 45° detection range
• 45° detection-free zone to reduce false alarms
• 360° adjustable installation to point the sensor in the desired direction
• Optional cover to prevent alarms triggered by pets passing by
The pet shield included in the kit can partially cover the sensor to reduce false alarms caused by dogs or cats moving around the room. This ensures the system sends notifications only when human activity is detected, making monitoring more precise and reliable.
Open/close sensor: keep doors, windows and cabinets under control
The open/close sensor is designed for installation on doors, windows, closets, cabinets or other entry points you want to monitor. It consists of two parts that send a signal to the gateway when they separate, for example when a door is opened.
Main functions:
• Immediately detects when doors or windows are opened
• Ideal for entrances, windows, storage rooms and other vulnerable points
• In the event of an attempted break-in, the gateway triggers a loud audible alarm
• Instantly sends a notification to the user's mobile device
This sensor is particularly useful for anyone who wants to make sure all entry points in their home are closed, or receive real-time alerts if someone attempts to enter without authorization.
Smart button: quick control and emergency function
The smart button is a highly versatile, easy-to-use device designed for both system control and emergency situations. It can be secured with adhesive tape in an easily accessible location or carried in a pocket.
Main operating modes:
• Arm/disarm the entire sensor system with a single click
• Emergency button for quickly sending a request for help
This makes it particularly useful for older adults, children, or people who may need immediate assistance: simply press the button to send an alarm through the system.
The button can only be used inside the home when paired with the EZVIZ home gateway to ensure a stable connection. Once disconnected from the gateway, it cannot be used as a standalone control.
Power supply and battery life
• The home gateway is powered by connection to the mains and does not run on batteries
• The sensors and smart button are battery-powered and supplied with included coin-cell batteries
The sensors’ energy-efficient design ensures long battery life, reducing the need for frequent replacements and providing reliable operation over time.
Integration with EZVIZ cameras
One of the kit’s key strengths is its compatibility with supported EZVIZ cameras, providing even more comprehensive visual protection.
Main integration features:
• Connect the sensor kit to wired EZVIZ cameras running a supported firmware version
• When using a local storage card or the EZVIZ CloudPlay service, the camera can automatically start a 5-second recording whenever a sensor detects activity
• The option to link sensor detection to video recording of events
In the current version, a C6 smart camera can be used for automatic tracking of activity detected by the sensor. Other motorized cameras record events within their fixed field of view when activity is detected. The sensor-triggered automatic tracking feature is planned for expansion to more EZVIZ indoor cameras.
Voice control and smart home
The sensor system can also be integrated with the most popular voice assistants, making home security even more convenient and modern.
