DESCRIPTION:

Oplink wireless alarm system, fully self-installable. Internet connection enables push notifications to authorized users’ smartphones and video verification via IP camera.

The kit includes the control gateway, two IP cameras with video sensors, a USB flash drive for video storage, two door/window opening detectors, a PIR motion detector, a siren and two multifunction remote controls. Numerous sensors and accessories for a range of practical applications are also available, including a smart plug, and can be added to the alarm system simply by scanning the QR code with the smartphone app.

Installation is extremely simple, as the components are preconfigured. Simply connect the gateway to a router with Internet access and power the kit’s wireless components; no wiring is required. To complete the installation, the primary user simply needs to download the free Home8 smartphone app and scan the gateway’s QR code. From that point on, the alarm system will be fully active and ready to use, and can be managed entirely through the free mobile app. The app lets you manage devices, view up-to-date information on which devices are active, and add new components by scanning their QR codes.

The system permanently includes a free basic service with the following features:

• Up to 1 administrator and 1 authorized user, with username/password managed in the cloud

• Live streaming

• Manual recording from the app

• Automatic local event recording


In addition, the system includes the Premium service for the first year, which can be renewed annually for a small fee. It provides the following additional features:

• Up to 1 administrator, 5 authorized users and 5 emergency contacts

• Live streaming without ads

• View recordings made by the IP camera and stored locally on the system's USB flash drive when an event is reported, 30-second clips


Authorized users can receive push notifications in their app for any event. The administrator will also receive an email notification with images captured during the event.

It is also possible to add users who do not have a smartphone; they will receive a free phone call from the Oplink cloud server when an event occurs.

The system has an accessory, sold separately, consisting of a WiFi plug that allows remote on/off control via the app, expanding the system's security and home automation capabilities. It is therefore an ideal system for residential users and small businesses, extremely easy to install and highly versatile thanks to a single, powerful mobile app.
