The door leaves must be protected against falling during normal use or if a single element of the fastening system breaks. The door leaf must not be able to move uncontrollably if a component breaks. If a hinge or other support fails or is damaged, the anti-fall safety device must be able to hold the door leaf in position with a maximum displacement of 30 cm from the axis of rotation. The door must also be fitted with a device that prevents the door leaf from being lifted by more than 50% of the length of the hinge pin or any other support while opening or closing (anti-lift device).
