REM are active volumetric barriers for the protection and/or detection of people and objects. Due to their specific detection characteristics they are particularly suitable for use on automatic swing doors.
One or more beams of infrared light are emitted by the device, whose reflection from an obstacle placed in the detection area causes
the activation of the output contact.
The sensitivity is practically independent of the color and surface structure of the object.
The range and angle of the detection beams are adjustable to adapt to every installation situation
Operating mode
REM sensors work on the principle of background suppression. The background, which is beyond the reach of the device, is "perceived" but ignored. To activate the sensor, a reflected signal from an object within the set detection range is required. The sensor can be installed mobile or fixed, with protection and safety functions.
Ideal use
Activation sensor ideal for narrow environments where a limited detection range is required (kitchen/lounge area of hotels, restaurants, etc.). Anti-impact protection on swing doors. Anti-crushing and anti-shear protection in sliding doors.
