How RFID works
RFID stands for radio-frequency identification, and uses contactless radio transmission.
RFID tags are microchips with a receive-and-transmit antenna; their 14-digit code can be transmitted without a battery.
Each transponder contains a unique, unalterable code that is programmed during manufacture. The code is stored in the database.
is stored.
Operation: The transponder data is transmitted as a code and compared with the entries in the reader's (or multiple systems') database.
If the code is known, the sensor output is activated; if the code is unknown, the sensor output is not enabled.
